OYO Acquires Nordic-Based Vacation Rental Operator Bornholmske Feriehuse


The Gurgaon headquartered OYO has completed the acquisition of Europe-based holiday home operating company Bornholmske Feriehuse by its subsidiary DanCenter, as part of its efforts to establish itself as a preferred full-stack vacation home provider for all its travel lovers who look for vacation homes.

Based out of Bornholm island in Denmark, the company Bornholmske Feriehuse, which has more than 700 homes on their platform, and is expected to clock more than 250,000 guest nights this year.

It is worth mentioning that the acquisition of Bornholm will strengthen OYO’s presence in Europe particularly in Denmark as through its subsidiaries, the hotel booking platform already owns brands such as Belvilla by OYO, DanCenter, and Traum Ferienwohnungen, among others, in Europe.

Hospitality unicorn OYO also recently completed the acquisition of Europe-based company ‘Direct Booker,’ which has more than 3200 homes and has served over 2 million customers.

Talking about the acquisition,Founder and Group CEO, OYO, Ritesh Agarwal,said, “I feel elated as we welcome Rasmus and integrate Bornholmske Feriehuse under the brand OYO. Bornholm exhibits great potential for tourism in the coming years. Bornholmske Feriehuse was founded in the year 2002 by Rasmus Lund and Jacob Lund. It has 737-holiday homes exclusively spread over 30-holiday parks. OYO hotels and homes was founded in the year 2013 and has a strong footprint in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Croatia among others.
