Optimized Electrotech raises Rs 20 Cr in Pre-Series B round

Bengaluru-based defence technology startup, Optimized Electrotech, raised approximately $2.4 million (Rs 20 crore) in a Pre-Series B funding round to expand its operations. The Rajiv Dadlani Group led the equity round, along with participation from Equanimity Investments, family offices, and high-net-worth investors. The round also saw participation from Venture Catalysts, while GVFL and Dholakia Ventures, previous investors, again invested in the deeptech startup. 

The startup plans to utilize the funding to design Intelligent Long Range Surveillance systems, focus on product innovations, and further business development in the aerospace and defence sectors.

According to Rajiv Dadlani, “Investing in Optimized Electrotech is a step towards investing in a secure India, as defence security and surveillance are of paramount importance in the current state of events of growing tensions across borders.” With the newly raised funds, the deeptech startup aims to design Intelligent Long Range Surveillance systems, enhance its focus on product innovations, and further expand business development in the aerospace and defence sectors.

 

Optimized Electrotech has integrated artificial intelligence into its surveillance technology, offering domestically designed and developed platforms for governments, defence services, paramilitary forces, mining corporations, civic bodies, and large corporations to detect and respond to various threats, including unauthorized drone attacks.

The co-founders of Optimized Electrotech are graduates of IIT, IISc, and IIM, with experience working with leading electronics, space, and defence organizations in India and abroad. The deeptech startup has already applied for four patents, with two already granted. Rajiv Dadlani expressed confidence in the team, stating that they have built a strong foundation in their niche space and have the potential to become a market leader in surveillance technology. He added that his group is excited to partner with the company as long-term investors and support them in their journey.
