Optimized Electrotech Announces Technology Transfer Agreement with ISRO for Optical Imaging System (OIS)

Optimized Electrotech Pvt Ltd (OEPL), a prominent imaging surveillance technology company, has achieved a significant milestone in advancing surveillance capabilities through a successful technology transfer of the Optical Imaging System (OIS). The transfer was made possible through collaboration with NewSpace India Limited (NSIL), a subsidiary of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). The agreement, formalized in September, received guidance from Dr. Pawan Kr Goenka, Chairperson of Inspace, Rajeev Jyoti, Director of Inspace, and A. Arunachalam, Director of NSIL.

The Optical Imaging System (OIS), developed by ISRO, marks a significant technological leap. It enables long-distance surveillance across the visible and near-infrared spectra of the electromagnetic spectrum. Notably, this system operates effectively during twilight and mid-day lighting conditions, utilizing a single sensor and a consistent setup. This innovation holds substantial potential, especially in coastal and desert regions, as well as various applications where precise surveillance is paramount.

The technology transfer, conducted through a formal Technology Transfer Agreement, facilitates the advancement, production, and commercialization of an Optical Imaging System in India and internationally. This initiative has received significant support from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). Additionally, ISRO’s space technology expertise and innovation will complement Optimized Electrotech’s cutting-edge imaging capabilities, promising to revolutionize surveillance capabilities through a synergistic partnership.
