OLLANG, a US-HEADQUARTERED artificial intelligence (AI)-based startup, announced its debut in the Indian market. Along with growing its presence in the country, the company hopes to build a talent pool of AI-dubbing professionals. According to a statement, the worldwide brand, which has provided dubbed video and audio content to audiences in over 60 languages, is also looking for expertise in closed captions and subtitles.
The organization promises to be able to assure that AV material from TV channels, online video streaming channels, production companies, e-learning platforms, and content providers has a global reach. It has arrived in India with its AI-enabled content localization platform OLabs, which will require around 1000 AI dubbing demos and over 100 active AI dubbers at all times.
Talking about the latest development, Ebru Yildirim, co-founder and CEO of Ollang, said, “The first step is translation, which is done by a professional translator, and the second step is AI dubbing, wherein the AI dubbing editors fix the voices and lip sync.” It is also an excellent earning opportunity for professionals working in or aspiring to work in the niche future-oriented domain, as they may earn up to $120 for working on approximately one hour of content.
“The major task is to ensure lip sync that is done with AI, otherwise, a simple dub makes the same content jarring to the eyes due to a lack of sync between audio and video. Furthermore, the AI-enabled dubbing process ensures quick turnaround time for projects, reliable work, and scope for better results,” she added.
