Mistry.Store launches app exclusively for home-building professionals in India

Founded by Poddar and Bhanu Mahajan in 2022, Mistry.Store provides home building materials such as plywood and boards, hardware and tools, electricals and lights, paints and chemicals, and sanitary and plumbing. The start-up has onboarded over 2,500 professionals in the last year, and is currently catering to the Delhi and NCR market. The company houses one of the largest warehouses and sampling areas in Gurugram, spread over 20,000 square feet.

Poddar added, “The market for home interior materials in NCR and surrounding areas is worth $3-5 billion. We want to create a deep presence within this area over the next 12-18 months before expanding to other metro cities.” Mistry.Store has raised $2 million in a seed funding round led by Omidyar Network India, Waveform VC, and Bharat Founders Fund.

Co-founder Bhanu Mahajan stated, “With the mistry.store app, we are looking to transform all aspects of day to day working of a home building professional, starting from project and order management to client engagement. This will help bring efficiency to the overall ecosystem, thereby reducing a lot of dissatisfaction amongst professionals and homeowners alike.”
