A remote patient monitoring and connected care platform called MedTel Healthcare intends to raise about $10 million in its Series A round of funding. The company had previously raised $1 million in Pre-Series A funding in August 2021, with the help of an institutional investor based in Singapore. MedTel anticipates concluding the new round during the current fiscal year.
In order to expand its business quickly, improve its products, and carry out pertinent clinical validation studies, MedTel plans to raise series A funding. Leading VCs and existing investors have already shown interest in the series A fundraise.
The pre-series A round of funding for MedTel Health Care was provided by a group of angel investors, HNIs, Meta Health, Physician VC, and KIIT-Technology Business Incubator.
Dr Lalit Ranjan Manik, co-founder and CEO of MedTel Healthcare said, “The previous year was a true test for us. The spread of the coronavirus pandemic pushed the healthcare sector to unanticipated limits. The answer came from digital health, which gave hospitals, clinics, and other care delivery organisations new ways to communicate with patients. Digital health was once a matter of personal preference, but the pandemic has made it necessary. We at MedTel proved ourselves and became the best choice for the providers like top Insurance providers, leading Hospitals, Pharma companies, and for government projects in Odisha and Maharashtra.”
