Logistics startup Hackle secures early-stage funding from Pescafresh, Elara India

Hackle, a logistics and distribution network startup based in Bengaluru, received $1.25 million from UK-based Elara India Opportunity Fund and D2C seafood and meats brand Pescafresh. Indian Angle Network and Callapina Capital also participated in the round (IAN).

Following the funding, it will oversee the last-mile distribution, inventory, and fulfillment centers for Pescafresh. More than 8,000 independent freestanding supermarkets (SMT) and General Trade (GT) stores are served by the company.

Hackle is a new omnichannel fulfillment and distribution company that Deepu Chandran, Jayaram Kasi, Siby Mathew, Suraj Valimbe, and Bhargav Bhamidipati launched in 2022.

“Our investment in Hackle is in line with our objectives of scaling with the help of industry experts. The seafood and meat business is operationally heavy, and a strong supply chain play is much needed. In addition to Hackle managing online fulfilment, its offline FMCG distribution platform focused on distribution to modern and general trade is exciting for our products,” said Sangram Sawant, Founder at Pescafresh.

In April, Pescafresh raised $2 million from Elara India Opportunities Fund in pre-Series A1 financing, which the company will use for global development, technological intervention, and strategic acquisition.
