Klassroom Edutech raises $1 million in funding from from ah! Ventures and Marquee Investors


India’s first Hybrid Tutoring Platform, Klassroom Edutech, has raised its first tranche of USD 1 MN in a Investment round from ah! Ventures and Marquee Investors. The participation in the round was seen from several angel networks such as StartupLanes and Startup Angels Network. 

Several notable investors participated in this round, that included Pavan Bakeri (Managing Director, Bakeri Group), Chandru Chawla (Executive VP, Cipla), Viraj Shah (Founder, VBS Diamonds), Sunil Rao (Senior Director, APAC Distribution & channels), Balu Ramamurthy (Director, Desynova Digital), and Abhijit Saxena (ex-CEO Netcore).

 Dhruv Javeri, Co-Founder Klassroom further added, “The admission life-cycle which begins from searching an offline learning centre and completes with the actual enrolment has been revolutionised by Klassroom’s new tech stack. Our robust technology and extensive content supplements the in-person teaching at our centres, giving students flexible hybrid learning alternatives at incredibly low fees. Numerous local star institutes are being added to our ecosystem almost every day.” 

As part of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, Klassroom is collaborating with the Central government and various State governments on a variety of social and educational projects across India in order to train and upskill teachers who will have contact with 1 million students.

About Klassroom

Founded by Alka Javeri, Dhruv Javeri and Dhumil Javeri in 2016, the Mumbai- based start-up, Klassroom offline and online classes for students in grades 6 through 12, as well as preparation for the IIT-JEE, NEET, CA, CS, and other top competitive exams. New courses are being added each month. With its hybrid business strategy, Klassroom offers flexibility to to students wherein those enrolled for physical tutoring can access online/live tutoring and vice versa.
