Bengaluru-based cloud kitchen startup Kitchens@, a leading player in the sector, has successfully secured $65 million in Series C funding from Finnest, a dynamic growth investment firm based in London. Notably, this funding round saw the active participation of Swiggy, a major investor in Kitchens@ during the Series B funding phase.

Finnest, founded by Indian-origin visionaries Dr. Biswanath Patnaik and Mr. Arun Kar (Ex Military), has a diverse portfolio, with strategic investments spanning renewable energy, EV-Hydrogen automotives, sports & entertainment, smart cities, aerospace technologies, hotels, and hospitality. This marks Finnest’s inaugural foray into the Food and Beverage industry, led by their COO, Mr. Arun Suraj, who served as the Lead Partner in this transformative investment.

Expressing confidence in Kitchens@, Dr. Biswanath Patnaik highlighted the company’s pivotal role in shaping India’s cloud kitchen landscape. “Our confidence in the future of this venture is unwavering, thanks to the astute leadership of our Founder and CEO, Mr. Junaiz Kizhakkayil. Anticipating a substantial business turnaround in the coming years, especially with strategic partnerships in place with major entities like Swiggy and Beenext,” stated Dr. Patnaik.

Founder & CEO of Kitchens@, Junaiz Kizhakkayil (JK), reflected on the company’s remarkable journey and expressed gratitude for the trust placed in them by prominent investors like Finnest. “Our path over the past few years has been nothing short of remarkable. It is immensely gratifying to have earned the trust of investors who believe in our growth strategy,” said JK.

Detailing their restaurant roll-up plan, JK emphasized the wealth of brand equity within the Indian market and stressed the importance of founder DNA for a brand’s success. “Our restaurant roll-up plan is founded on these principles, and I am proud to say that we have established strong alignments with nearly all major brands,” he added.

JK outlined the utilization of the raised funds for expanding their hybrid model, Dinerium, a transformative dining experience combining offline and online elements. “Corporate meetings and meaningful connections would now be fostered over exquisite meals, marking a departure from conventional norms,” he highlighted.

Earlier this year, Kitchens@ made headlines with the acquisition of Swiggy Access Kitchen, expanding its footprint to six major cities and 45 locations, solidifying its network of 700 kitchens. The latest funding injection is set to propel Kitchens@ towards further innovation, growth, and market dominance in the evolving landscape of cloud kitchens.
