The well-known Indian clothing company Kewal Kiran Clothing Limited (KKCL), well known for its Killer Jeans brand, has taken over as the Indian cricket team’s new official kit sponsor, replacing MPL Sports.
Although an official declaration from both parties has not yet been made, the leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal uploaded a selfie of himself with his colleagues wearing Indian jerseys that have the Killer Jeans emblem rather than the MPL.

In November 2020, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced a kit sponsorship agreement with MPL Sports. MPL Sports reportedly requested that the BCCI award the kit and product rights deal to KKCL. The Test series between Bangladesh and India will also have Killer Jeans as its title sponsor.
A home series versus Sri Lanka will kick off the new year for the Men in Blue. Three T20Is and one ODI each are part of the bilateral series. Rohit Sharma will rejoin the team for the ODI series, which gets underway on January 10, after being rested for the T20I series.
In Rohit’s absence, Hardik Pandya has been chosen the T20I team’s captain. The opening T20I will take place at 7 PM IST on Tuesday, January 3, at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.
