Kerala-based Apparel brand G & A raises funding

The Indian apparel startup company Giacca & Abito Sartoriale Fashion (G & A), receives an undisclosed investment from Kerala-based angel investors, Sonu Vaidyan and Dr Sony Vaidyan, the directors of the leading business chain, Syama Dynamic Group. Sreejith Sreekumar funded G&A by identifying the untapped potential of luxury men’s apparel, with the sole purpose of making luxury fashion accessible and affordable for laymen. 

The Startup has already gained momentum in the Indian fashion space and has established over a hundred counters in leading fashion retailers within Kerala itself. The company started selling its products pan India including in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, West Bengal, UP, Bihar, Odisha, Punjab and Delhi within a time span of one year. 

Sreejith Sreekumar, Founder & CEO of G&A said, “ The investment is a definitive recognition of the company’s steadfast commitment to making luxury menswear accessible and affordable while not compromising the quality. The investment has paved the way to achieve the company’s dream of generating Rs 20 crore in revenue in the next fiscal year and would greatly contribute to meeting the rising demands through expanding production avenues.”

Sonu Vaidyan, one of the investors, reveals his benchmark for investing which is concerned with Kerala-based startups aiming for the global market like that of G&A. The growth of the company within a short span of time is what propelled the investment, according to him.

In India, the luxury menswear market does not see a significant impact because there are no suit or blazer labels from Kerala. Understanding this, G&A has diversified into ‘T the Brand,’ exclusively for executive wear and leather accessories and presented ‘Bare Brown,’ with a collection of casual wear. G&A will very soon launch their ethnic wear line and is planning to enter the global market by the beginning of the next financial year.

Giacca & Abito Sartoriale Fashion Pvt. Ltd.(G&A), is an Indian apparel startup from Kerala founded by Sreejith Sreekumar in 2020. The company also has a consultancy that provides expert assistance to apparel business aspirants. The ‘Tea & Tailoring’ consultancy will handle the formulation of a brand, including its launch and operations.
