Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Tuesday that in the midst of global economic turmoil, India’s budget will attempt to meet the hopes and aspirations of common citizens while also serving as a ray of hope for the rest of the world.
Speaking to the media ahead of the Budget Session of Parliament, Modi stated that recognised voices in the economic world were bringing positive messages from all sides.
The prime minister stated that the Budget, which will be presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Wednesday, will strive to fulfil people’s hopes and aspirations while also boosting the world’s hopes for India.

“The ray of hope being seen by the world will glow brighter — for this, I firmly believe the finance minister will make all efforts to meet these aspirations,” Modi said.
He also mentioned that President Droupadi Murmu was delivering her opening speech to the joint setting of Parliament at the start of the Budget Session.
According to Modi, the President’s speech is a source of pride for the Indian Constitution, the parliamentary system, and an opportunity to respect women and the country’s great tribal traditions.
