Indian Angel Network invests $230,000 in computer vision startup AuraML

Bengaluru-based startup AuraML has raised USD 230,000 in pre-seed funding from Indian Angel Network (IAN) to develop its synthetic image data platform for computer vision and robotics. IAN’s lead angel investors Uday Sodhi, Neeraj Saran, and KRS Jamwal participated in the funding round.

AuraML will use the funds to optimize its proprietary synthetic data generation engine and hire skilled staff for its founding engineering team. The startup also plans to expand its presence in the US and European markets and launch its cloud platform in the coming months.

“This investment will be a key accelerator for us to take the technology from a prototype to a fully functioning product,” said AuraML CEO Ayush Sharma in a media statement. “We plan to utilize these funds to hire our founding engineering team, develop core technologies and expand our global presence in the US and European markets.”

Padmaja Ruparel, Co-Founder of IAN, commented, “AuraML, with its synthetic image data platform, is on a mission to offset all these concerns and improve the accuracy of the ML models, thereby allowing complete control over the generated dataset.”

AuraML, founded in January 2023 by Ayush Sharma and Arjun Gupta, is working on developing a technology using generative AI to enable users to create realistic-looking 3D worlds and images. By developing an innovative synthetic data engine, AuraML aims to address challenges related to data privacy, sharing, and collection for training computer vision algorithms, improving accuracy and reducing costs.
