InCred Launches InCred Liquid Alternative Fund-I: Aiming for Strong Returns with Low Risk

InCred Alternatives Investments has announced the launch of InCred Liquid Alternative Fund-I, its first equity long-short open ended Category III AIF. The fund’s goal is to deliver strong positive absolute returns with low risk in all market conditions, with an AUM of more than Rs 1,000 crore.

The fund’s multi-strategy quant approach is intended to help generate superior risk-adjusted returns and risk metrics over the medium to long term when compared to debt-plus funds and indices, according to InCred.

“InCred Liquid Alternative Fund – I, will endeavour to have low net exposures due to a combination of market neutral and tail risk hedged strategies. The fund will seek to generate alpha returns independent of market volatility and directionality. The fund intends to deploy a spectrum of long-short strategies across futures, options and special situations for appropriate diversification,” it said.

Rishi Kohli, an industry veteran in the derivatives quantitative strategies market in India, manages the fund. Throughout the development of the Indian derivatives market, he has been a pioneer in options strategies and managed futures.
