In the midst of the Twitter crisis, Koo offers to move historic tweets in order to avoid “intellectual assassination”

In the midst of rumors of Twitter charges and recent issues, Koo, a Made-in-India rival of Twitter, has offered to migrate all prior tweets of any Twitter user wishing to switch to its platform, according to co-founder and CEO Aprameya Radhakrishna on December 18. Radhakrishna further stated that Koo will not charge customers for verification badges in the future.
Koo has already surpassed 50 million downloads and is currently circling the competitor’s nest. To entice Twitter users, the network is running a campaign that includes self-verification and a free yellow verification tag for prominent people.
Koo is now offering to migrate any tweet, except responses, likes, or resharing of someone else’s tweet, to Koo in order to avoid “intellectual assassination” caused by Twitter account suspension, he claims. Musk’s recent move to ban and then reinstate the accounts of numerous notable journalists, including reporters from The New York Times, CNN, and The Washington Post, has stirred a discussion.
“If you are someone who speaks their mind and engages with others in discussion and debate, a suspension essentially means that you lose access to years of creativity, ideas, connections, and insights,” he said.
“Just click on the migrate button, follow the simple on-screen instructions, and all your tweets are ported to your Koo account seamlessly,” he added.

Despite the fact that all previous original tweets will be migrated to Koo, followers of the moving Twitter user will not be migrated unless they also switch to Koo. Commenting on Musk’s policies for Twitter, Radhakrishna said, “It is unimaginable that in this day and age, one man has the ability to wipe out your digital existence and remove all traces of your creativity. History and creativity cannot be held hostage to a billionaire’s toy worth $44 billion.
In addition, Koo co-founder Mayank Bidawatka stated that his microblogging site is the best alternative to Twitter.”I’ve said this before. We run Koo, and the journalists should just migrate. Migration tools are available. Koo is the best alternative to Twitter. This place is what it is because of you and millions of other users like us.”
Questioning the rationale behind the suspension of the accounts of journalists, he said, “This isn’t democracy. There is a strong need to exercise power and control. and shouldn’t be allowed. We need to speak up!” Twitter is also prohibiting users from tweeting URLs to Mastodon servers, another significant competitor to Twitter.
“Not allowing mastodon links saying it’s unsafe. – Banning Koo’s eminence handle. I mean, seriously. How much more control does the guy need?” Bidawatka wrote. He tweeted, “We’ve never created policies out of thin air. Everything is user-focused and transparent. It’s the most inclusive platform. It’s time to take action instead of just discussing. Following his USD 44 billion buyout of Twitter in October, Elon Musk fired its workers, revised its moderation standards, charged for account verification, and restored previously banned accounts, including those of former US President Donald Trump.
