Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur, has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ICICI Bank, establishing a strategic partnership aimed at providing startups with a robust support system.

This collaboration is geared towards facilitating joint efforts between IIT Kanpur and ICICI Bank, with a primary goal of equipping startups and innovators at the Startup Incubation and Innovation Centre (SIIC) IIT Kanpur with the essential tools and knowledge they need to thrive.

The collaborative efforts will particularly focus on assisting incubatees in enhancing their understanding of foreign trade policies. This will involve the organization of workshops and seminars designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills required to effectively engage in international markets. ICICI Bank’s involvement in this partnership also extends to facilitating the management of pre and post-transaction compliance. This support ensures that innovators, incubatees, and students associated with IIT Kanpur have a seamless experience when engaging with Private Equity (PE) and Venture Capital (VC) support. This includes streamlining the verification and submission of regulatory documents through digital channels, simplifying processes, and enhancing accessibility to vital financial resources for emerging entrepreneurs within the IIT Kanpur ecosystem.
