IIT Dhanbad alumni established ISM Angels, a network of angel investors

ISM Angels, a group of IIT (ISM) Dhanbad alumni that fund early-stage enterprises, made its public debut today. The angel network is well-known for making unique investments in the IT firms of IIT Dhanbad. IIT Dhanbad is among the earliest IITs and one of India’s top engineering colleges. A large percentage of students and graduates pursue entrepreneurial endeavors, and the institute has generated some accomplished entrepreneurs.
Rakesh Soni and Krishna Anisetty, two IIT Dhanbad alumni, agreed to further investigate the potential of IIT Dhanbad’s tech businesses and thereby help the growth of young entrepreneurial talent. In October 2021, they established ISM Angels. “As the creator of a software business, I understand the hardships that founders face in the early phases.” “The purpose of ISM Angels is to ease some of that suffering by offering smart money and guidance to IIT Dhanbad entrepreneurs,” says Rakesh Soni, ISM Angels’ founder.
“There is a lot of mystery and danger with angel investment.” To be successful, investors would be required to make sound judgment decisions. “The purpose of ISM Angels is to create a network where investors can interact and share their different skills to evaluate firms and confidently invest alongside other fellow graduates,” says Krishna Anisetty, creator of ISM Angels. ISM Angels is a wonderful venue for angel investors to gain access to high-quality entrepreneurs, engage with other angels, invest without the hassle of legal paperwork, & give back to their alma school. ISM Angels have already committed $400K, with a $3M investment planned for 2022. We expect 24 seed-stage businesses to pitch, with half of them receiving funding this year.
