HR Tech Platform Klaar Secures $800,000 in Seed Funding Round

Klaar, an HR technology platform, has successfully raised $800,000 in a Seed funding round. The funding round was led by Veda VC, with participation from DeVC, Kube VC, and notable figures in the HR industry, including Prabir Jha, Saurabh Nigam, Nimesh Mathur, Sumit Neogi, and Akshay Kejriwal, among others. This investment represents a significant milestone for the company.

The capital infusion will be utilized to bolster the platform significantly and expand the sales team, with the aim of expanding the global customer base, as stated in a press release.

Klaar’s core mission is to empower HR teams in creating a seamless culture of high performance, engagement, and continuous development. Differing from conventional HR tech solutions, Klaar adopts a ground-up approach, reimagining how critical processes like performance management, employee feedback, 1:1 meetings, and mentoring can be seamlessly integrated into daily workflows and with each other.

Klaar’s objective is to streamline HR processes by automating and expediting tasks, such as reducing the 360 Nomination process from four weeks to just two hours, thus alleviating administrative burdens.

The platform is widely adopted by Fortune 500 corporations, unicorns, and startups across more than ten industries. Notable clients include Philips, ITC, Godrej, Urban Company, Razorpay, Gameskraft, and Lead School.

The enterprise HR Tech Industry is anticipated to reach the $445 billion mark by 2031. However, the current model for performance and talent management is seen as broken, siloed, and lacking the ability to empower HR teams to achieve substantial outcomes. Klaar aims to address these challenges and bridge the existing gaps.

Klaar, founded in 2022, is a B2B SaaS startup created by XLRI, Jamshedpur alumni Sharthok Chakraborty and Atri Roy.

Avijeet Alagathi, Managing Partner at Veda VC, an early-stage VC Fund, commented, “With the constant evolution of people’s roles and how work is done today, there is a massive gap, globally, in tools which can enable people to perform better.”

Atri Roy, co-founder of Klaar, emphasized, “The HR tech of the future – what Klaar is aiming to be – needs to balance customizability, complexity, and usability in the product. This fine balance has been our biggest strength in the product.”

Klaar is presently collaborating with enterprises, unicorns, and high-growth startups in India to foster a culture of high performance while alleviating administrative work for HR teams. The company has plans to establish new offices in the US later this year.
