Hemant Bakshi Considered as Potential CEO for Ola

Hemant Bakshi, currently the Executive Vice President of Marketplace and Chairman of Unilever Indonesia, is reportedly in line to become the next Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ola, according to sources familiar with the matter. The news, first reported by The Economic Times and later corroborated by YourStory’s independent source, suggests that Ola’s founder, Bhavish Aggarwal, could announce Bakshi’s appointment as CEO of Ola Cabs as early as next week.
It’s worth noting that Bakshi is likely to be appointed for ANI Technologies, the parent company of Ola. Despite the reports, Ola has not provided any official comments regarding this development.
This potential appointment comes in the context of Bhavish Aggarwal’s recent endeavors, including the launch of his new AI and silicon chip company, Krutrim Si Designs Pvt Ltd. Aggarwal has also been actively involved in cell production for Ola Electric, with plans for a new facility set to be launched soon. Observers speculate that this move may free up Aggarwal’s schedule to focus on the upcoming Ola Electric IPO and other new business ventures.
