Hair Originals raises $1.25 million in pre-Series A funding led by Anicut Capital, others

Hair Originals has raised $1.25 million in pre-Series A funding round led by Anicut Capital, Kesh Kala Family Office, JITO Angel Network, Lets Venture, Dexter Angels, Pankaj Chaddah, and Ahana Gupta. Hair Originals’ exclusive advisor was Dexter Capital. 

Hair Originals previously received Rs 60 lacs from three investors on the Show Shark Tank. The startup had raised Rs 30 crore in a pre-seed capital round earlier this year, with angel investments from renowned investors.

According to a press statement from Hair Originals, the company wants to use the money raised to scale its operations by four times, reach 100 crore in annual revenue by the end of 2024, extend to 25 locations throughout India with experience centres in five major cities, and provide direct-to-consumer services in the US market. 

Having opened in 2019, the business already exports its goods to over 22 nations, including the most prestigious salons in the US, Europe, and Africa. 

Hair Originals intends to build a brand that can generate more than 70% of its income through D2C channels by leveraging content and influencer marketing and expanding production capacity.
