Global Dental Services (GDS), the operator of Clove Dental, a nationwide chain of oral care clinics, has secured a significant equity investment of $50 million from the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA). This investment, part of a total infusion of $116 million, includes a previous funding of $66 million from Investcorp in November of the prior year. The purpose behind this substantial investment is to expand Clove Dental’s clinical network, develop smile-enhancing solutions, and introduce a range of therapeutic oral care products.
Amarinder Singh, Founder & CEO of Global Dental, emphasized the significance of this investment, stating, “This investment will enable us to pursue our growth plans in both existing and new tier I & II cities across India, ensuring that more Indians have access to reliable, high-quality, & affordable dental care.”
Global Dental Services functions as a tech-enabled platform providing various products and services catering to oral health, dental aesthetics, and at-home care. Through its flagship entity, Clove Dental, it manages India’s largest network of company-owned and operated dental clinics. Recently, GDS launched “Whistle,” a dental beauty brand offering personalized smile-enhancing solutions. Additionally, it runs a direct-to-consumer (D2C) business focusing on therapeutic toothpaste and everyday oral care products under the Clove brand.
Moreover, the company operates multiple B2B ventures, including Yarrow Dental Laboratory and xMedco, positioning itself across various segments of the dental services and products industry.
