Garuda Aerospace drones to support Turkey Earthquake Rescue and Relief Efforts

Garuda Aerospace has been asked by NDRF to provide their DGCA-approved drones for disaster management operations in order to assist with the ongoing relief and rescue efforts in Turkey, where thousands have died and thousands more are still missing. A customised Kisan Drone with payloads that will aid convey emergency medications, supplies, and food for victims will be used by Garuda Aerospace along with their Droni Drone for surveillance in the most impacted areas to spot where victims might be buried under rubble piles.

Garuda Aerospace’s founder and CEO, Agnishwar Jayaprakash, stated that the company has always responded quickly to emergencies and made a significant impact by using drones. Garuda Aerospace is using drones in support of ongoing rescue and relief efforts in Turkey due to the present circumstances there. Garuda Aerospace previously sent drones to the Chamoli glacier burst in Uttarakhand for rescue and relief efforts and significantly contributed to the locust control effort in Rajasthan. Garuda Aerospace and Swiggy collaborated to deploy emergency drones to send drugs and immunisations to hospitals during the pandemic. A mountaineer was assisted in rappelling down a slope by Garuda drones, and a person was saved.
