Venture Capital Firm Accel Invites Startups for AI and Industry 5.0 Cohorts in Atom 3.0 Accelerator Program

Accel, a prominent Venture Capital firm, has recently announced the opening of applications for its Artificial Intelligence and Industry 5.0 cohorts under the Atom 3.0 accelerator program. This initiative aims to support startups in India, Southeast Asia, and the UAE by providing pre-seed and seed-stage startups with access to funding, personalized mentorship, and industry-specific guidance from experienced operators and founders.

Since its launch in August 2021, the Atoms accelerator program has already invested in 24 startups across two cohorts, collectively raising over $160 million in funding. The AI and Industry 5.0 cohorts will go through a series of workshops, mentorship sessions, and networking events, helping them validate their ideas, build teams, and secure capital for growth.

Selected startups in the cohorts will receive up to $500,000 in investment, access to Accel’s vast mentorship network, workshops on AI and Industry 5.0 best practices, community events with other AI and Industry 5.0 startups, meetings with potential customers, investors, and Accel portfolio companies. Additionally, they will enjoy perks from Atoms partners such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, along with webinars, on-ground events, and AMA (Ask Me Anything) sessions with industry experts.

The deadline for AI-based startups’ applications is September 10, and for Industry 5.0, it is September 23. The AI cohort is scheduled to commence from September 20, while the Industry 5.0 cohort will start by September 30. Prayank Swaroop, Partner at Accel, will lead the artificial intelligence cohort, and Barath Shankar Subramanian, Partner at Accel, will spearhead the Industry 5.0 cohort.

Accel’s Atoms 3.0 program represents a redesigned approach, emphasizing sector-specific collaboration and idea exchange among early-stage founders.

“Zero-to-one is the most challenging journey for any entrepreneur, as it sets the foundation for the business. Our goal is to work with founders to develop the core DNA that makes a company exceptional,” said Prayank Swaroop.

Accel, a prominent player in the Indian market since 2008, boasts an impressive portfolio of investments, including companies like BookMyShow, Flipkart, Freshworks, Infra.Market, Chargebee, Clevertap, Cure Fit, Musigma, Myntra, Moglix, Ninjacart, Swiggy, Urban Company, and more.
