Electric bike startup EMotorad to foray into Europe


EMotorad, a city-based electric bike business, announced plans to extend its European footprint on Monday. The corporation also has operations in India, the United Arab Emirates, Japan, and Nepal.

According to sources, Europe is the fastest-growing market for electric vehicles, with a significant consumer base. This will provide EMotorad with an incredible opportunity to manufacture electric motorcycles for large markets.

EMotorad itself told that it intends to sell 3,000 electric motorcycles in these five nations within the first quarter of operation. The company indicated that in the first phase, it intends to target five nations, including France, Spain, Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands. This will allow the continent to expand at an exponential rate.

EMotorad have decided to initially launch their electric bike ‘Doodle’. Then, during the following six months, a premium and ultra-premium selection will be offered. In the second step, the business intends to launch e-bikes with diverse terrain and demography. This will be determined by the market research. European market is appropriate for launching an electric bike.

Aditya Oza, the Co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer at EMotorad, believes that the European market is very competitive and established. With the lessons from mature countries like Japan, where electric bikes have high demand, they are determined to make their imprint in one of the world’s largest electric bike marketplaces.

EMotorad is fast assembling a team in Europe to boost expansion and operations and management. The firm sees Europe as a high-potential market, with a quarter-on-quarter growth rate of approximately 30-40%. EMotorod claims to have sold over 16,000 electric motorcycles in India and 11,000 in other countries.
