Eggoz, an agricultural consumer brand, obtains $8.8 million in funding led by IvyCap Ventures


Eggoz, an egg-focused agri consumer tech company, announced a Series B fundraising round led by IvyCap Ventures worth $8.8 million (Rs 66 crore). The round was also attended by NABVENTURES, Avaana Capital, and Rebright Partners.

This fundraising round was joined by angels such as Vishesh Khurana (Co-founder, Shiprocket), Ankit Mehrotra, Sahil Jain, Nikhil Bakshi, Vivek Kapoor (Founders, Dineout), Khalid Qazi (VP, Swiggy), and others. The startup will use the new funds to develop its operations, hire new employees, and build its community.

“With this funding, we plan to take Eggoz to more geographies and have a larger impact on the lives of both farmers and consumers,” said Abhishek Negi, co-founder of Eggoz.

Eggoz, a Bihar-based startup founded in 2017 by IIT Kharagpur alumni Abhishek Negi, Aditya Singh, and Uttam Kumar, claims to have established an asset-light farmer integration strategy that delivers nutrition and eggs to the the masses at scale. Its products are offered in metropolitanpolitanetro cities such as Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Jaipur, and Lucknow. The firm claims to have expanded more than five times in the last year alone.

“Eggs being a major source of protein and a dietary staple for a huge section of India’s 1.4 billion population, the market potential is tremendous.” Eggoz, with its unique model, has the potential to capture this market and become the leader in this segment,” said Vikram Gupta, Founder and Managing Partner, IvyCap Ventures Advisors Pvt Ltd.

Eggoz guarantees clients one-day delivery of fresh eggs via omnichannel, sourced directly from farmers that operate under a completely integrated strategy. All of its goods are made using herbal chickens and are continuously monitored by technicians and veterinarians.
