Edtech unicorn PhysicsWallah forays into the offline space by the opening its first offline center in Kota

PhysicsWallah ventures into the offline world, launching the PW Vidyapeeth in Kota, Rajasthan. Students in Years 11 and 12 who want to prepare for the JEE and NEET examinations can enrol in PhysicsWallah’s offline centre. This evolution occurs amid fierce industry competition, with digital businesses moving into the offline arena and vice versa.
Following in the footsteps of rivals BYJU’S and Unacademy, ed-tech unicorn PhysicsWallah announced its push into offline learning on Monday with the opening of PW Vidyapeeth in Kota, Rajasthan.
Students in Years 11 and 12 who want to prepare for the JEE and NEET examinations can enrol in PhysicsWallah’s offline centre. According to the company, each class will feature a 125:1 teacher-to-student ratio. Kota is well-known for its tutoring centres for students pursuing careers in engineering and medical.

Alakh Pandey, founder and CEO of PhysicsWallah said, “We selected Kota for a lot of reasons, the city has an unblemished history of supporting students in passing a variety of challenging admission tests. Furthermore, it has an average literacy rate of 82.80%, which is greater than the national average of 74.04%, according to the 2011 census.”
PhysicsWallah joined the unicorn club earlier this month after raising $100 million in its Series A round at a post-money valuation of $1.1 billion. Westbridge and GSV Ventures were among the investors in the round. By 2025, the company expects to publish instructional content in nine vernacular languages, bringing the total number of pupils to 250 million.
The Noida-based firm, founded in 2020 by Alakh Pandey and Prateek Maheshwari, assists students in preparing for the NEET and IIT JEE examinations. In the last two years, it claims to have helped over 10,000 students pass the NEET and JEE examinations.
