Dvara E-Dairy bags $2 mn in its pre-series A funding round from Axilor Ventures & Dvara Venture Studio

Dvara E-Dairy Solutions Pvt Ltd, an agri-fintech firm incubated at Dvara Holdings’ (previously Dvara Trust’s) Dvara Venture Studio, has secured $2 million in a pre-Series A investment from Axilor and Dvara Venture Studio. With over 150,000 farmers impacted across seven states in India and over 100 partnerships tailored across the spectrum, Axilor’s investment will further accelerate Dvara E-growth Dairy’s plans into newer geographies, allowing it to scale up operations and invest in technology for better optimisation.

Dvara E-Dairy, founded in 2019, focuses on tackling the difficulties of small and marginal dairy farmers by developing an ecosystem platform and deploying cutting-edge technologies that provide dairy producers with access to adequate financial and livestock management services.

Its Surabhi platform offers full financial and cattle management solutions to India’s small and medium dairy farmers, allowing financial institutions and value chain corporations to make educated dairy decisions.

Ganapathy Venugopal, co-founder and CEO stated that the dairy industry in India is valued at more than $140 billion. Despite its size and importance to farmers’ livelihoods, the industry employs few technologies. Cattle producers lack the tools needed to assess and monitor their cattle’s health, and they frequently lack financial resources. E-technology Dairy has the potential to play a key role in determining identification, improving cow health, and increasing financial access to cattle farmers.
