Ambulance service provider Dial4242 has successfully raised Rs 1 crore in a seed funding round, signaling a commitment to enhancing healthcare accessibility. The investment round was led by prominent investors, including G Vamshi Raju, Managing Director at Visista Insurance Broking, and Starfish Ventures, along with several Hyderabad-based angel investors.

G Vamshi Raju, MD of Visista Insurance Broking Pvt Ltd, expressed the significance of this investment, stating, “Investing in Dial4242 isn’t merely a strategic decision; it’s a commitment to elevating lives. This investment transcends financial objectives; it’s about actively contributing to lifesaving solutions and fostering greater healthcare accessibility. In India, the ambulance and healthcare sector holds pivotal significance, and I believe Dial4242 can be a game changer. Being a part of the insurance sector for over two decades has given us a profound understanding of the imperative nature of immediate medical assistance during emergencies.”

The freshly acquired funds are earmarked for Dial4242’s expansion across the country, reinforcing its dedication to providing accessible and convenient healthcare services to communities, corporates, and individuals, according to a statement from Dial4242.

Founder of Dial4242, Jeetu Lalwani, expressed his gratitude for the trust and confidence displayed by investors in the company’s vision and commitment, especially during a challenging funding environment. He highlighted Dial4242’s successful partnerships with major players in the gig economy and insurance sector, providing ambulances to over 5 million members in less than 15 minutes. Lalwani underscored the pivotal role the secured capital will play in expanding their reach and enhancing services.

Dial4242 boasts of being the sole ambulance service provider in India that has entered into a partnership with an insurance player, offering support to their policyholders. The company has also collaborated with renowned brands like Swiggy and Zomato, providing ambulance support to their delivery partners within a remarkable 15-minute response time. Additionally, Dial4242 is actively involved in Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) support for various clients.

Established in 2016 by Jeetu Lalwani and Nilesh Mhambre, Dial4242 operates an app-based ambulance network. Through its mobile app, the company swiftly connects users to emergency facilities, ensuring prompt ambulance services when needed. With just one click or a call, patients can have Dial4242’s affiliated ambulances dispatched to their chosen location.
