Open-source DevOps startup Devtron raises $12 million in funding led by Insight Partners


Devtron, a software delivery platform founded by DevOps professionals, has raised $12 million in new funding led by global investor Insight Partners. The round of funding follows previous funding from Angel Investors and Leo Capital. Devtron intends to use the new funds to promote its platform, expand its business, and enter new markets.

Prashant Ghildiyal, CEO and Co-Founder of the company, and Rajesh Razdan, co-founder and CBO of the company, stated that since the company became open source, thousands of nimble startups around the world are installing Devtron every month, along with many fast-growing startups as commercial customers. Furthermore, he stated that it is an exciting time for the company to grow and develop its market-defining product.

Devtron provides a software delivery platform for Kubernete, an open-source system for automating software application scaling, deployment, and management. Among other software functions, the platform includes application management, cluster provisioning, and security. The company stated in a statement that companies using its platform had reduced their Kubernetes adaptation time from a year to months. Companies have frequently adopted Kubernetes within 15 days.Furthermore, post-adoption companies have seen a five-fold increase in deployment speed, with up to a 90% reduction in change failure rate and a 70% reduction in time to recovery.
