Deliver.sg Expands its Footprint in Asia: Acquires BusyBee in a SGD 500,000 Deal

Singapore-based long-distance delivery platform, Deliver.sg, a subsidiary of Maxima Logistics Pte Ltd, has successfully acquired BusyBee, an Indian Mobility Lifestyle Platform, in a deal valued at SGD 500,000. This strategic move is aimed at fortifying Deliver.sg’s presence in the Asian and Middle Eastern markets, marking a significant step in the company’s expansion strategy.

BusyBee, with a robust network of over 1,800 delivery riders across 317 locations in South India, is poised for substantial growth under Deliver.sg’s umbrella. The acquisition is expected to enhance operational efficiency and profitability for BusyBee, leveraging Deliver.sg’s advanced technology and logistics expertise. The deal is part of Deliver.sg’s commitment to its Delivery as a Service (DAAS) model.

Krishnamani Kannan, Co-founder & CEO of Deliver.sg, and Vice Chairman of SSACCI (Singapore South Asia Chamber Of Commerce And Industry), highlighted the broader goals of the partnership. “As we integrate BusyBee’s extensive network with the growth of HighRices and HomeRadius, our goal transcends expanding our geographical footprint. We’re fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and community building,” said Kannan.

BusyBee, now under the Deliver.sg umbrella, has ambitious plans for expansion. With the support of Maxima Logistics, BusyBee aims to extend its reach to 1,000 locations by the year 2025.

In addition to the acquisition of BusyBee, Deliver.sg is further solidifying its position in the market by investing SGD 250,000 in HighRices, a Tamil Nadu-based startup. The investment, facilitated through a share swap and equity funding model, will contribute to the development of an Augmented Reality (AR) app and advanced technologies. HighRices seeks to transform smart restaurants globally, aligning with Deliver.sg’s vision of innovation and technological advancement.

Similarly, Deliver.sg is committing an additional SGD 250,000 to HomeRadius, an app designed to streamline the process of hiring home service professionals. With Deliver.sg’s backing, HomeRadius aims to revolutionize home management in Singapore and beyond, providing users with a convenient platform to connect with service providers.

The acquisition of BusyBee and the strategic investments in HighRices and HomeRadius signal Deliver.sg’s commitment to expanding its reach, fostering innovation, and playing a pivotal role in transforming various sectors in the Asian market. The company’s emphasis on technology, logistics, and community building positions it as a key player in the evolving landscape of delivery and lifestyle platforms in the region.
