Bhogle himself shared his excitement about the venture, stating, “I’m looking forward to Hitwicket’s potential to be the Made in India cricket game that unites India with the rest of the world and elevates the country’s profile in mobile cricket gaming.”

This collaboration comes at a crucial juncture for Hitwicket, as the gaming studio sets its sights on achieving a staggering 50 million downloads globally within the next two years. Since its inception in 2020 by Singh and Reddy in Hyderabad, Hitwicket has rapidly gained traction, with its eponymous cricket strategy game and multiplayer version, Hitwicket Superstars, captivating audiences worldwide. Notably, the startup secured seed funding of $3 million from Prime Venture Partners in 2022, further fueling its growth trajectory.

With over 5 million downloads across 109 countries, Hitwicket has garnered a dedicated user base, with India leading the pack followed by the United Kingdom, the United States, and Australia. The game offers players the opportunity to immerse themselves in the role of team owner, coach, and captain in a multiplayer cricket league setting. Users can build and train their cricket squads, participate in quick matches, engage in one-on-one competitions, or compete in multiplayer tournaments.
