CENTA, a teacher accreditation platform, has secured $1 million in funding from angel investors like Leo Puri, Pankaj Sahni, Bahram Vakil, and Nikhil Mohta. The Bengaluru-based startup plans to utilize the investment to introduce Teaching as a Service (TaaS) and bolster the technological capabilities of its existing platform.
With its TaaS offering, CENTA aims to connect educators globally, providing professional development avenues and additional income opportunities by linking them with potential employers such as edtech firms, schools, and government entities.
Established by Ramya Venkataraman, the company operates in three sectors: teacher training, certification, and skill-based training. It boasts a nationwide presence across 7,000 locations, impacting the lives of over 1.5 million teachers.
Collaborating closely with educational bodies like NCERT, CBSE, and State Education Boards, CENTA strives to empower teachers in government schools and elevate the overall quality of education.
