Camping Experiences Discovery Platform Exoticamp Raises Rs 4 Crore in Funding

Chennai-based Exoticamp, a platform for discovering camping and glamping experiences, has secured Rs 4 crore in funding from a consortium of investors. Notable investors in this round include Anil Kumar Karusala, the promoter of Sai Parenteral Limited; Aditya Vuchi, CEO of Doosra; Harsh Dugar, Executive Director of Federal Bank; senior employees of Spark Capital, and several high-net-worth individuals (HNIs) from Hyderabad and Chennai.
The newly acquired funds will be directed towards enhancing safety measures at campsite locations, developing exclusive and captivating camping destinations, and upgrading the platform’s technology stack to offer an improved user experience.
Vijay Premnath and Swaminathan, Co-founders of Exoticamp, expressed their excitement about the capital infusion. “This capital infusion will allow us to scale our operations, expand our portfolio with more destinations, and elevate the overall experience for our customers. Our data reveals that nearly 95% of our customers are first-time campers. Exoticamp is dedicated to democratising camping, offering inclusive experiences in private natural settings tailored to adventurers of all levels,” they said.

Exoticamp boasts a track record of hosting over 20,000 campers and claims to have a network spanning more than 70 campsites across India.
