Byju’s Faces Disruption as Payments to Salesforce and Data Management Tools Delayed

Employees at Byju’s, the edtech startup, faced a loss of access to vital data management tools, including Salesforce, due to delayed payments to these platforms. This disruption has had a significant impact on Byju’s operations, which rely heavily on these systems, particularly in their sales functions.

The delayed payments, which amount to approximately Rs 45-50 crore, have affected services such as Leadsquared, Orderhive, Tableau, and Tooljet. These platforms play a crucial role in managing customer relationships, data visualization, and analytics, making them indispensable for business-to-consumer (B2C) companies like Byju’s.

Byju’s spokesperson confirmed the situation and explained that the company is in the process of transitioning away from third-party software tools and platforms as part of its cost-efficiency efforts.

Despite the challenges, Byju’s is making organizational changes to address various issues, including workforce reduction and office space consolidation. The company is also actively seeking funding to navigate its liquidity crisis.

This disruption underscores Byju’s ongoing efforts to manage its finances efficiently and become profitable while facing various challenges in its domestic and international operations.
