boAt Achieves 70% ‘Made in India’ Production in 2023, Marking a Significant Transformation


Aman Gupta, the Chief Marketing Officer and co-founder of boAt, has disclosed that in 2023, 70 percent of the company’s products are now manufactured in India. This marks a substantial shift from the pre-Covid era when none of their products were domestically produced. Gupta shared this information during Inc42’s ‘The D2C Summit 4.0,’ emphasizing boAt’s commitment to supporting the ‘Make in India’ initiative and the rapid growth of India’s manufacturing ecosystem

He stated, “Prior to Covid, none of our products were made in India. Fast forward to 2023, and 70 percent of our products are now made in India.” This highlights a significant change in boAt’s production strategy and a growing focus on local manufacturing. Gupta also stressed the need for collaboration between the government and industry stakeholders to further advance this trend.

In January of this year, Gupta proudly announced that boAt, a wearable technology unicorn, had manufactured ten million products in India in 2022.
