Bertelsmann sets aside $500 mn for India investments

Bertelsmann India Investments (BII) declared it has reserved $500 million for new interests in India. BII has launched a beginning phase program, under which it intends to make 3-4 Series A investments in a year. Series A ventures will be in the scope of $2-5 million.
Bertelsmann has key organizations in India like Penguin Random House, Fremantle India, and Majorel.BII is also an investor in companies like LendingKart, Licious, Pepperfry, Eruditus, Agrostar and Rupeek, among others.
BII plans to zero in on interests in the Health-Tech, Enterprise-Tech, Future of Work, Fintech, Agritech, and different areas. The asset will likewise be watching out for advancements like Web3 and Deeptech, and plans to open more workplaces in India and the locale. The fund is currently headquartered in New Delhi and aims to expand operations in Bangalore and Munbai.
