Bengaluru-based Woolly Farms gets an investment of Rs 4.39 cr from Mumbai Angels and others

Woolly Farms, an agri-tech platform located in Bengaluru, has secured Rs 4.39 crore in a financing round headed by Mumbai Angels and other investors. This financing was also supported by Callapina Capital, Malabar Angels Network, and Mentorous Ventures.

The money will be used to expand the startup’s technological platform, which includes an NFT ecosystem and IoT-driven farms that allow for centralised monitoring systems to manage farms at scale, as well as sales and marketing initiatives.

Woolly Farms, situated in Bengaluru, was formed in 2017 by Bushair A P, Nithun KV, Satyendra Prabhu, and Thamam Mubarish. It is an agricultural platform that combines urban capability with agricultural technology to produce fresh food free of pesticides.

Bushair AP, the co-founder and CEO of Woolly Farms said that agriculture is responsible for 17% of global warming. It’s crucial to remember, however, that no firm can survive without sustainability as a fundamental component. The sustainability movement would collapse if we did not construct our systems to allow for the broad acceptance of items made from environmentally friendly processes. The funds will help to strengthen the infrastructure and extend client reach and presence.

As an agrarian country, India’s economy is based on agriculture, which needs immediate sustainable farming intervention. Woolly Farms has created a one-of-a-kind platform that uses a consumer/producer involvement strategy based on a decentralised financial model to assure sustainable farm production of organic and inexpensive veggies, particularly off-season greens.

Nandini Mansinghka, the co-founder and CEO of Mumbai Angels stated that Woolly Farms will be able to expand its reach as it expands its digital infrastructure and company in new locations.
