Bambrew Secures Rs 60 Cr in Series A Funding to Revolutionize Sustainable Packaging

Bambrew, a pioneering cleantech startup specializing in sustainable packaging solutions, announced today the successful closure of its Series A funding round, securing Rs 60 crore in a blend of equity and debt financing. Spearheaded by Blume Ventures, a prominent venture capital firm, the investment round also garnered substantial support from key investors including Blue Ashva Capital, Mumbai Angels, Indus Capital, Capital A, among others.
Vaibhav Anant, Founder of Bambrew, expressed his pride in the company’s accomplishments, stating, “I am proud to share that so far, we have saved more than 60,000 tons of single-use plastic and more than 125,000 tons of CO2 emissions by creating revolutionising materials, which are both functional and cost-efficient to plastic.”
The infusion of capital will be pivotal in driving Bambrew’s strategic initiatives forward, including expansion into primary packaging for FMCG and food and beverage sectors, bolstering manufacturing capabilities, investing in research and development, and amplifying team scaling efforts.
“We would be expanding to multiple geographies with various solutions across categories in primary and secondary packages. We will utilise the funds to expand our presence in categories across various forms of primary packaging and help brands adopt materials, which are more sustainable and functional,” added Anant.
Established in 2019 by Vaibhav Anant, a NIFT graduate, Bambrew has quickly emerged as a leading provider of plastic-free packaging solutions. The company’s clientele includes prominent brands such as Amazon, Nykaa, and Bata. Bambrew’s products, certified by the Government of India and the Central Pollution Control Board, boast compostability within 130 days.
This latest funding milestone comes on the heels of Bambrew’s pre-Series A round in January 2022, where it raised $2.35 million led by Blue Ashva Capital and Supack Industries. With this substantial backing, Bambrew is poised to further solidify its position as an industry trailblazer in sustainable packaging, driving positive environmental change while meeting the evolving needs of consumers and businesses alike.
