Axis Bank Teams Up with Fintech Startup Kiwi to Introduce UPI-Enabled Credit Card Service

Mumbai-based fintech startup Kiwi has partnered with Axis Bank to launch a pioneering ‘credit on UPI’ service for RuPay credit cardholders. This collaboration establishes Kiwi as the first app in India to introduce such a feature.

Through the Kiwi app, users gain effortless access to the RuPay lifetime free virtual credit card offered by Axis Bank. This integration eliminates the need for physical cards, allowing users to conduct merchant payments within the Kiwi app via UPI. In addition to the rapid and secure payment experience of UPI, customers can also avail themselves of credit card rewards through this partnership.

The virtual credit card, enabled with UPI functionality, presents various advantages, including two edge rewards for every Rs. 200 spent, a 1% cashback on Scan & Pay Transactions using CC on UPI powered by “Kiwi,” and a 1% fuel surcharge waiver. This collaboration aims to provide users with enhanced convenience and rewards in their financial transactions.
