Ather Energy to Introduce ‘Family E-Scooter’ in the Coming Year

Ather Energy, a prominent player in the electric vehicle manufacturing sector, is gearing up to unveil a family scooter in 2024, as announced by Tarun Mehta, the CEO and co-founder, via his social media platform, X (formerly known as Twitter).

Mehta expressed the company’s commitment to innovation, stating, “After spending a decade perfecting the Ather 450, we now believe that there’s demand for something more. So many folks love.” The upcoming scooter is strategically positioned in the affordable category, with a focus on catering to family-oriented preferences. Mehta emphasized the brand’s dedication to providing a comprehensive family experience by designing a scooter that offers comfort, ample size, and various features—all packaged in an affordable solution accessible to a broader audience.

In addition to the family scooter, Ather Energy has plans to introduce the Evolution 450 series in the early months of the upcoming year. However, in contrast to the affordability of the family-oriented model, the Evolution 450 series will be presented at a premium price point. Mehta highlighted this distinction, stating, “So, for those who loved the 450X, we’re shortly introducing an evolution of the 450 series. This new iteration is set to be the absolute pinnacle of refined performance.” The Evolution 450 series is anticipated to redefine the riding experience with best-in-class features, slated for launch in early 2024, accompanied by a premium price tag.
