Ather Energy Revolutionizes Family Mobility with the Launch of Rizta Scooter


Ather Energy, a frontrunner in the electric vehicle domain, has unveiled its latest innovation aimed at revolutionizing family mobility – the Rizta scooter. Revealed on Ather Community Day in Bengaluru, the Rizta is poised to set a new standard in the family scooter segment with its blend of comfort, safety, and cutting-edge technology.

“The Rizta is ingeniously built, focusing on attributes paramount for family use – comfort, safety, and a suite of connected features,” stated Tarun Mehta, CEO, and Co-founder of Ather Energy. “With the largest seat in its category and a 56L storage capacity, it addresses the everyday needs of Indian families.”

Equipped with advanced features like SkidControl and integration with WhatsApp on the dashboard, the Rizta promises unparalleled convenience and safety for riders. “Ather’s dedication to rider security and convenience is evident in the Rizta, with its inclusion of advanced safety measures and ride assist features,” noted Swapnil Jain, Co-founder & CTO of Ather Energy.

The Rizta comes in two models and three variants, boasting a 2.9 kWh battery in the base models and a 3.7 kWh battery in the top-tier variant. “The scooter’s impressive range, with the 2.9 kWh variants offering a 123 km range and the 3.7 kWh variant extending to 160 km, ensures that it meets the diverse needs of our customers,” said Mehta.

Available in a variety of colors and designs, the Rizta caters to different preferences. “The Rizta S is available in three monotone colors, while the Rizta Z comes in seven shades, including both monotone and dual-tone options,” added Mehta.

In a collaborative effort with Harman Kardon, Ather introduced Ather Halo, a smart helmet designed to elevate the riding experience. “Ather Halo integrates superior audio quality with innovative features like WearDetect technology and helmet-to-helmet communication, representing a leap forward in rider connectivity and safety,” explained Mehta.

Furthermore, the release of AtherStack 6.0 underscores Ather’s commitment to continuous improvement. “AtherStack 6.0 enriches the user interface with new functionalities like WhatsApp integration and Alexa voice commands, enhancing both convenience and safety for riders,” elaborated Jain.

Priced competitively at INR 1,09,999 (ex-showroom Bengaluru), the Rizta aims to make a significant impact in the electric scooter market. “The Rizta’s value proposition, combined with advanced features and a focus on family-centric design, sets a new benchmark for electric mobility in India,” concluded Mehta..
