Ashok Leyland Introduces “Re-AL”: An Online Marketplace for Used Commercial Vehicles, Enabling Easy Upgrades to Ashok Leyland Trucks and Buses

Ashok Leyland, the parent company of the Hinduja Group, has launched an online marketplace called “Re-AL” for used commercial vehicles, the automaker announced on Saturday.

Customers could upgrade from their current vehicles to an Ashok Leyland truck or bus by using the e-marketplace facility.

“The used commercial vehicle industry is ripe for disruption. Leveraging our digital platform, there are many opportunities for us to provide customer centric solutions,” Ashok Leyland MD and CEO Shenu Agarwal said.

In a statement, the city-based manufacturer of heavy commercial vehicles expressed the desire to improve transparency in the ecosystem for used cars, which is currently chaotic.

Customers would have access to a variety of features through the digital service, allowing them to choose their preferred vehicles and validated documents.

“This used vehicle e-marketplace solution marks a significant milestone in our digital transformation journey,” the CEO said.

According to Sanjeev Kumar, President of Ashok Leyland’s Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicle division, the used car market is a key area of focus because it allows customers to sell their cars for more money.

“We believe this e-marketplace will help in enhancing the overall customer experience in exchanging their old vehicles for brand new Ashok Leyland trucks and buses…,” he said.
