Arcatron Mobility Secures Growth Capital from OrbiMed for Expansion

Arcatron Mobility Pvt. Ltd., a rapidly advancing consumer medical company, has successfully raised growth capital from OrbiMed, a globally renowned healthcare-focused investment firm. Notably, existing investors including BL Taparia Family Office, Chona Family Office, MGA Ventures, and the founders of Arcatron actively participated in this funding round.

The infusion of capital is earmarked for accelerating Research and Development initiatives, innovating new products, and bolstering branding and marketing efforts. Under its flagship brand “Frido,” Arcatron specializes in mobility assist devices such as wheelchairs tailored for patients with limited mobility, orthopaedic insoles, and ergonomic cushions for pain relief and enhanced comfort.

Arcatron’s diverse product range is distributed through leading E-commerce platforms, its official website, and an extensive network of over 1,000 stores nationwide.

Founders Ganesh Sonawane and Arif Khan regard this investment as a pivotal catalyst for expanding product development and broadening their customer base. They express enthusiasm about the manifold opportunities this strategic partnership with OrbiMed brings.

In a significant development, Dr. Sunny Sharma and Sumona Chakraborty of OrbiMed will be joining Arcatron’s board.
