Anupama Priyadarshini Named Senior Vice President of Corporate Governance at ONDC

Anupama Priyadarshini has been appointed as the Senior Vice President for Corporate Governance, Risk, and Compliance, as well as Investor Relations at the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC). ONDC is an initiative of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.

Priyadarshini’s role within ONDC will be instrumental in enhancing corporate governance, risk management, compliance, and investor relations within the network. T Koshy, the Managing Director and CEO of ONDC, expressed the team’s delight at welcoming Anupama Priyadarshini. He highlighted her extensive experience and proven expertise across various sectors, particularly her significant roles at IKEA, Tata Steel, and PepsiCo. Her appointment is expected to strengthen ONDC’s commitment to excellence and responsible business practices.

With a career spanning 25 years, Priyadarshini has demonstrated her expertise in sectors such as retail, steel manufacturing, and beverages. During her 14-year tenure at IKEA, she served in roles including CFO, Business Navigation Manager, and Director for IKEA Supply, South Asia. Her contributions to Tata Steel focused on enhancing the company’s global cost competitiveness. She also had a brief stint at PepsiCo, where she oversaw capital investments in the Indian beverages market.

Anupama Priyadarshini expressed her enthusiasm for joining ONDC and contributing to its mission of making digital commerce more inclusive and accessible at a large scale in India. She sees this new role as a significant opportunity to be part of the evolution of a democratic e-commerce ecosystem, aligning with ONDC’s focus on leveraging digital public infrastructure for the benefit of the masses through innovation and technology.
