AI-Powered User Engagement Platform Aampe Raises $7.5 Million in Pre-Series A Round

Aampe, an AI-native user engagement platform, has successfully secured $7.5 million in a Pre-Series A funding round. This investment was led by Matrix Partners India and Peak XV Partners. The newly acquired capital will be used to drive product development and support the company’s global expansion efforts.
Aampe specializes in automating various aspects of user engagement, including content creation, experimental design, and conversion tracking. The platform emphasizes optimizing marketing processes to significantly enhance user engagement while reducing the time and effort required, especially when compared to traditional rule-based systems.
Paul Meinshausen, Co-founder and CEO of Aampe, stated, “Marketers have been forced to define rigid paths for their users that ignore their individuality and diversity. We have created a way for CRM AI agents to iteratively learn user preferences and then adapt and respond to those preferences, unlocking the benefits of a better customer experience.”
Aampe achieves this through agentic AI, which transforms app marketing messages into personalized experiences, shifting from one-way communication. It continuously tracks and adapts to each user’s responses, clicks, and actions, providing valuable insights to marketers via a user-friendly dashboard.
Aakash Kumar, Managing Director at Matrix Partners India, expressed his enthusiasm for the investment, saying, “We’re delighted to lead this round to support a team that is best placed to build the next generation of an AI-native customer engagement stack for businesses. We keenly look forward to collaborating with them as they scale up.”
The company reports impressive results from its customers, including a 30% increase in new user conversions, a 4X increase in customer retention, and significant savings on SMS spending through more efficient messaging. Aampe has experienced substantial growth, with a Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) of 32% in Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) during the first eight months of 2023.
Anandamoy Roychowdhary, Partner at Peak XV Partners, commented on the funding, saying, “Aampe builds a fantastic product that has seen their customers significantly improve retention numbers. The users of these apps have much better outcomes as well. I’m excited for Aampe to take this great product to a lot more customers.”
