Adda247 raises $35 million in funding led by WestBridge Capital, Google and others


Platform for preparing for government exams Adda247 announced on Wednesday that it had secured $35 million in a round headed by WestBridge Capital. Google participated in the round as a new investor.

The platform will use the funds raised to hire for certain important leadership positions, develop its student counselling team, and raise the profile of its technology and products.Anil Nagar and Saurabh Bansal founded Adda247 in 2016, which serves the educational needs of millions of students from tier 2 and tier 3 cities.

Existing investors Info Edge and Asha Impact participated in the most recent funding round as well.There are presently two million paying subscribers on Adda247 out of its 22 million monthly active users.
