Artha Access for pre-seed funding in startups launched by Artha Venture Fund

‘Artha Access’ was launched by Artha Venture Fund (AVF), a micro-VC start-up fund, to invest in pre-seed funding rounds, through its associations with multiple accelerators across the country.

Artha Access is a program in association with leading accelerators and incubators, across the country. They target promising young startups with the help of these partners and back them through seed investment. They have earmarked a portion of their fund for co-investing with the selected accelerators and incubators and will double the size of their seed cheque. They claim to offer, 4x quicker turnaround time, smoother deal execution, co-investment opportunities, and access to our network and ecosystem.

AVF is onboard with three accelerators including India Accelerator, Huddle, and IIM Calcutta Innovation Park, and will be adding seven more accelerators in the coming months. As part of this, select startups will have an opportunity to secure funding upwards of ₹18 crores ($2.5m) in follow-on rounds from AVF.

AVF has already reached an agreement through these partnerships by investing in a blockchain start-up, TheRollNumber in August 2021.

The early access would make it easier for the graduating companies to get access to our resources that will help them to receive adequate handholding and strategic insights, scale faster, extend their runway, recruit a core team, and follow on funding.

AVF’s portfolio includes Agnikul, LenDenClub, HobSpace, PiggyRide, Daalchini, Kabbadi Adda, and more. AVF is part of Artha Group with investments in 85 plus startups across India, the US, and Israel such as OYO Rooms, Purplle, Tala, Coutloot, Karza Technologies, Mobilewalla, and Interstellar. The team has backed six unicorns and 15 startups cumulatively, valued at over $40 billion.

With the Artha Access program, they plan to broaden their investment portfolio across the entire funding spectrum and strengthen deal flow for follow-on rounds. They will provide founders with exploratory capital to take their business from idea to scale, as well as allocate dedicated time and resources to work with them.
