Food Delivery App Zomato announces appointments of new Deputy Chief Financial Officer and Chief Sustainability Officer

Online food delivery app Zomato recently announced the appointment of its new Deputy Chief Financial Officer and Chief Sustainability Officer. The positions of responsibility would be assumed by Nitin Savara and Anjali Ravi Kumar respectively.
Nitin Savara, the new deputy chief financial officer at Zomato, would work under the CFO Akshant Goyal. A former EY consultant, Savara has been working as an advisor with Zomato for a considerable amount of time, guiding them through strategic acquisitions prior to the IPO. Savara’s core areas of expertise are finance, tax, M&A and deal structuring, revealed a statement.

On the other hand, Anjali Ravi Kumar is a Harvard Kennedy School alumnus who has had her share of experience in the field of corporate sustainability as she worked at Unilever as its global sustainability director. Further she has also worked with KPMG’s Climate Change Advisory practice in the past. She is a recipient of the Unilever Global Heroes Award in 2017 for launching a unique mobile skilling programme that reached over a million women in five countries, a statement revealed.
“The company has consistently focused on corporate sustainability and Kumar’s appointment is to take “our initiatives to the next level and ensure our growth is sensitive to both environment and society”, Zomato said in a statement.
