Content to Commerce Platform Good Glamm Group acquires MissMalini Entertainment

The content to commerce platform Good Glamm Group (previously known as My Glamm) has recently announced the acquisition of entertainment network MissMalini Entertainment for an undisclosed sum. This acquisition would allow the Good Glamm Group to get unprecedented access to a robust network of influencers, celebrities and the market-know-how to enhance its content-to-commerce segment offerings.
As per reports, the Mumbai-based MissMalini Entertainment would function independently post the acquisition while bringing its expertise to the Good Glamm Group. This announcement comes just a few months after the beauty and lifestyle unicorn acquired ScoopWhoop to expand its reach in the content to commerce segment. With this recent acquisition, the total tally of acquisitions has risen to five for this new age startup.
Talking about the recent acquisition spree, the Co-founder and CEO of Good Glamm Group, Darpan Sanghvi said, “We have strongly believed in the content, community, and commerce play. Within that segment, we are looking closely at the influencer led marketing and base to bring in a stronger content-community-commerce play. While POPxo and Plixxo look at the mid and nano influencer segment, Miss Malini now brings us the Bollywood and celebrity segment,”
The startup revealed that it would invest an aggregate sum of INR 450 crore into acquiring companies that align with the group’s three verticals- beauty and personal care, content and influencer marketing and baby and parent care.
Commenting upon the latest card in her pocket, the co-founder of Good Glamm Group, Priyanka Gill stated, “Malini and I both started our own digital content ventures nearly a decade ago – and today, as we welcome MissMalini to the Good Glamm Group – we have come full circle. We are passionate believers in the might of digital content and MissMalini’s reach into the celebrity and influencer landscape will open up exciting avenues for the Good Glamm Group. I look forward to working with the MissMalini team to build out our collective vision.”
