Creator Owned Marketplace HYPD raises $1.5 million in Seed Round

Creator-owned marketplace HYPD has recently announced that it has raised a sum of $1.5 million (INR 11 crore approximately) through its seed round of funding. The round was led by venture capital funds Better Capital; Sauce VC as well as influencers Bhuvan Bam and Tanmay Bhatt amongst others.

The round also witnessed the participation of multiple prominent investors including Aditya Sehgal (Reckitt), Harish Narayam (Myntra), Revant Bhate (Mosaic Wellness), Shantanu Deshpande (Bombay Shaving Company) and Ritesh Malik (Innov8) among others.

The company has clarified that the proceeds from the seed round will be utilised towards various marketing and development activities of the startup. The Delhi based company further intends to utilise the funds to activate more than 1 million content creators across the globe.

“Every creator at some point in time has to turn into an entrepreneur to earn from what they love doing and HYPD’s business-in-a-box solution makes it so much easier for every creator out there to monetise their audience at one destination, owned by themselves,” said Bhuvan Bam, comedian and Youtuber. 

Launched in 2021 by Ashwarya Garg and Akshay Bhatnagar, HYPD is a Delhi-based startup which aims to create a sustainable source of income for content creators. The startup enables the creator community to set up their stores as well as businesses with utmost ease.
